Orlando is the sixth largest city in Florida, and one located in the interior of the state. It is best known for its leisure complex Disneyworld created by the Walt Disney Company in 1971, and for the Universal Resort (1991) that consists of two large parks, one on the Universal Studios film and the other with attractions in connection with the heroes of comics Islands of Adventure, City Walk as well be composed of restaurants, bars, cinemas and discos with various themes and varied. Also in the city there is a SeaWorld, theme park whose concept is based on shows with animals. It is also close to Universal Wet'n'Wild water park for fans of water slides. To restore the party an avenue named International Drive combines all the themes of restoration possible including the Mac Donald's with the playground most of the world. The center of the city is being restored, with the creation of a new theme park, Gatorland.
This city draws 52 million tourists annually and is the second city hotel in the country and it is one of the cities which experienced the largest increase in population of the United States of America, many retirees from being moved to here for its warm ambiance, location and climate; characters it shares with the rest of the Sun Belt. The Orlando International Airport and is the fourteenth largest country in terms of traffic.
With the University of Central Florida, Orlando has the seventh university in the United States in capacity, a section for Hotels and Catering was established in 2004. This school is named Rosen College after its principal sponsors, the school of a new genre has been sponsored by the major parks, hotel chains like Marriott, the Anheuser-Busch sells Budweiser and Mr. Rosen owns a hotel chain in Orlando.
The city has no rival as regards the number of lakes in the urban area, apart from the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul). It counts now more than 100 lakes, the largest of them being Lake Apopka, Griffin, Monroe, Harney, Sand Lake, and Tohopekaliga.
Regarding climate, it is subtropical humid it is mostly hot and humid with occasional cold days in winter. The year is divided into two seasons durations roughly equal.
Among the 115 districts in Orlando, the best known are: Avalon Park, Callahan, College Park, Crescent Park, Downtown, Lake Eola Heights, Metrowest, North Orange, Rosemont, Roosevelt Park, Stoneybrook and West Colonial.
